New Favourite Song

So the other night I was watching the particularly lackluster first SNL episode of the season...(FYI I am watching a rerun of SNL on E right now, and "Wake Up Wakefield" is on! Go me!...FYI J.Ray). Anyways, I was watching SNL last Saturday night and the musical guest was The Killers. Usually if it's a musical guest that I'm lukewarm about, I'm like, "Ok, time for food I don't need..." However, I listened and I'm sure glad I did. I took a liking to their first song, so I looked it up on iTunes and downloaded it. It is now my new favourite song. I'm going to pull a J. Ray and post the lyrics, even though I'm really in love with the melody mostly...

When You Were Young by The Killers

You sit there in your heartache
Waiting on some beautiful boy to
To save you from your old ways
You play forgiveness
Watch it now ... here he comes!

He doesn't look a thing like Jesus
But he talks like a gentleman
Like you imagined when you were young

Can we climb this mountain
I don't know
Higher now than ever before
I know we can make it if we take it slow
Let's take it easy
Easy now, watch it go

We're burning down the highway skyline
On the back of a hurricane that started turning
When you were young
When you were young

And sometimes you close your eyes and see the place where you
used to live
When you were young

They say the devil's water, it ain't so sweet
You don't have to drink right now
But you can dip your feet
Every once in a little while

You sit there in your heartache
Waiting on some beautiful boy to
To save you from your old ways
You play forgiveness
Watch it now here he comes

He doesn't look a thing like Jesus
But he talks like a gentleman
Like you imagined when you were young
(He talks like a gentlemen, like you imagined when)
When you were young

I said he doesn't look a thing like Jesus
He doesn't look a thing like Jesus
But more than you'll ever know

I can now forgive The Killers for that stupid Mr. gayBrightside song I hate.

My brother has most of their first album on his playlist, so I bet I've heard it before. For all their shaggy loser underage hangers-on, they gots good tunes.

TACO NIGHT BITCHES!!!!!!!11!

My mom totally blew up at me this morning (for no reason I still don't know why)...like threw stuff. Luckily, she threw them into the fridge. hahahahaha it was funny! I'm so glad I didn't end up with food on me, I really thought that's how it was gonna end. I was like (silently), "Throw me out! DO IT! I dont' have money, but I'll leave! throw me out!!!!" bah, but she didn't...

I'd say we can hang out and do SOMETHING tomorrow, but of course I didn't get as much done as I wanted to this weekend and so I've got to get a lot done manana. But think of it this way: the more I get done tomorrow, the more manic I'll be when we hang out on our TBA weeknight, instead of being the morose bastard for long periods of time tomorrow AND that TBA weekend...think about it....

But I DO want to carve at least ONE of my MF-ing pumpkins...so there's that! Ok, obviously I need to do more work so ttyl.

Also...

BEE'S KNEES!!!!!!!!
hahahahahahaha.....argh
